59, of Bethel Park, died Friday, June 18, 2010 in St. Clair Hospital. He was born November 16, 1950 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Stephen and Stella Partyka Dudjak. Mr. Dudjak was retired as a draftsman from Avbel Engineering in Cecil Township.

He was a member of St. Catholic Church in Castle Shannon. Surviving are his wife, Marleen Cushey Dudjak; a brother, David Dudjak and his wife Ada of Finleyville; a sister, Diane Mercer of Bethel Park; his mother-in-law, Betty Cushey; two brothers-in- law, Allen and Gary Cusher; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae and Pam Cushey; and several nieces and nephews; deceased is his father-in-law, John Cushey. Paul F. Everett, a Korean War veteran and former Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Experiment, died June 16th at his home in Sherman, CT. He was 81. The cause of death was melanoma. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret, daughter Jennifer and her husband Michael Shields, son Christopher and his wife Tara, and 4 grandchildren.

Paul was born in Yonkers, NY on January 25, 1929, he was the son of Earl and Ruth (Appenheimer) Everett. Paul graduated from Syracuse University and began his career as a buyer at New York. Through a fellow buyer at Macys, he had a life-changing spiritual experience that led him to Princeton Theological Seminary wife of 49 years, Margaret, daughter Jennifer and her husband Michael Shields, son Christopher and his wife Tara, and 4 grandchildren. Paul was born in Yonkers, NY on January 25, 1929, he was the son of Earl and Ruth (Appenheimer) Everett. Paul graduated from Syracuse University and began his career as a buyer at New York.

Through a fellow buyer at Macys, he had a life-changing spiritual experience that led him to Princeton Theological Seminary and ordination as a Presbyterian minister. Upon graduation, he became Minister of Evangelism of the Wayne (PA) Presbyterian Church and later served as Associate Director, and then Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Experiment (a ministry to the business and working community of that city) from 1967-1995. In Pittsburgh, Paul moderated a weekly radio program on KDKA (a CBS affiliate) from 1967-1980, was a national conference and small group leader, led workshops for clergy and spouses, was president of the Western PA Alumni Association of Princeton Seminary, worked with recovering people in 12-STEP programs, and trained leaders in small group ministry. He was an avid member of the Sons of the American Revolution. After retiring to Sherman, CT in 1999, he became President of his local SAR chapter and Chaplain of CT State SAR.

He became passionate about the Revolutionary War, participating in re-enactments, lecturing on 18th Century American History and speaking to school children about patriotism and the freedoms we enjoy because of our forefathers. As a trustee of the Historical Society of Quaker Hill and Pawling, Paul served as chairperson of the two day 225th Anniversary Celebration of George Washington headquartered in Pawling, NY. He also went on four week-long mission trip with his church to help the people of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In 2005 he wrote The Prisoner, a biography of a man who served time in prison for murder before experiencing a spiritual transformation that led to his release and new life as a Franciscan brother. Subsequently, Paul conducted retreats in prisons based on the book.

Paul loved people and had the ability to make everyone he met feel special. He met people where they were and walked with them through the challenges of their lives. With a great sense of humor and a vulnerability about his own life, he was a loyal friend who gave non-judgmental love to everyone he met. Visitation will be Monday, June 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Send condolences at FIKE SFC ROBERT JAMES SFC Robert James Fike died Friday, June 11, 2010 in Zabul, Afghanistan, while serving with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

He was born in Jeannette July 23, 1971. He graduated from Penn-Trafford High School class of 1989, and Edinboro University. Bob was a highly decorated soldier whose awards and decorations included the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), Combat Action Badge, NATO Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Keystone Freedom Medal, Afghan Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon. Bob had been a member of the National Guard (28th Military Police Co.) for 16 years. He was a Pennsylvania State employee with 13 years of service and had been a Corrections Officer at SCI Albion since 2002, holding the rank of Sergeant.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his daughter, the love and joy of his life. Bob is survived by his daughter MacKenzie Fike-Bliscik of Meadville, parents Jim and Chris Fike of Trafford, a brother Christopher Fike (Nicole) of Monroeville, maternal grandmother Liz Balkovec of Trafford and nephew Tristan and nieces Alexa and Parker. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ross and Geraldine Fike, his maternal grandfather Joseph Balkovec and an Uncle Robert Fike. Family and hunting, fishing and spending time with his daughter, the love and joy of his life. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his heartfelt devotion to family and friends, and his love of boating and travel.
