Sept. 8, 1840. name and after the manner of my Vermifuge, I have thought it but just to the public, as well as to sustain the high reputation which the genuine article has acquired, to take such steps as would effectually prevent the success of such reckless imposition; for that purpose, I have, at much expeose.ob-tained a steel plate engraving, representing a mother in the act of administering the medicine to her ailing child, while a boy, restored to full health, stands at her elbow. This vignette, impressed on white paper, is so skillfully executed as to secure it from attempts at counterfeiting, and will, after the 1st of October, 1840, be substituted for the yellow wrapper ia which the vermifuge has heretofore appeared; and, as a still further security, a copy right has been obtained and entered according to act of Congress. Spanish Kips, per skin, the United States could never have been secured, unless the article was all that was claimed for it, as a Medicine peculiarly adapted to the cure of diseases incident to the Female sex. The inventor of lbese Pills, a French Physician of considerable eminence, spent thirty years of his life in Ihe discovery of a medicine that would effectually remove most, if not all, of the diseases to which females are liable; and in the unparalleled sue cess of these Pills, in the permanent cure or positive relief of more than Five Hundred Thousand Females, is the best evidence that his labor was not in vain.

These Pills, when taken according to the directions, remove those morbid secretions which, when retained, soon induce a number of diseases, which oftentimes render Females unhappy and miserable all their lives. They immediately create a new and healthy action throughout the whole system, by Purifying the Blood, aod giving Strength to the stomach and bowels, at the same time removing pain in the side, back and loins, and giving appetite, and invigorat ng and restoring the system to its proper, unctions, and inducing tranquil repose.
