Mr. V. St iart then oflored the follow- here as. The card published in the Buuday Ieailer by W. 1.

Moore, two days prior to the late municipal election, whenp in he ailvised lVmocrats to vote against the I ri-uiocratie candidate for City Controller, was un-leniocratic and uncalled for; ami Whereas, Ry signing" the same as Chair-nan of the lemocratio Executive Com mittee, he compromised the dignity of aaiu committee in assuming to speak Tor them without their consent or authority. aud insulted their houesty as ln-iuocrats in that the impression waa conveyel tuat said committee indorsed said card. Therefore be it Iteaotved. That the Committee repni- ate the action of said W. It.

Moore, he bavin no such authority delegated by us, auch action tending to create disscusionv In the party, which should be deprecated all irood Democrats, anc merits our moat emphatic and unqualitled condemnation Aid. (I'ltonuell moved the adoption of the resolutions as read. Capt. J. II. Mew art said he coul.l not endorse the card of the county chairman, and would vote for the resolution ottered by 1' Stuart. M' Kelvy was iu favor of part of the resolutions.

He considered the card, so far as it concerned Mr. Farley, an oul-ae. The chairman had RlOHT TO HltiX it as chairman of the County Committee, hut would move to strike out tf the resolutions all after the words "un-Democratic and uu-t ailed for." Mr. Maauwaa pioscd to anything of the kiml; he a not in favor of white-waeumg the chairman. 'biuire to the county chairu.au, that he had no sympathy for him.

The resolutions as read were then aJoptcd by an almost unanimous vote. Til EST. CHARLES Col. A WONDKK TO HERSELF. Tan KTOWS, Delaware count, March 20, 1873. To Dr. 11. V.

FIERCE our llt'OVery needs Only a fair trial, and it will do all you recommend it to do aua more too. ueu wan hiuku caugut coia. ana lor iweutT-eicnt Tears i nave been a perfect wreck of disease, and all the medicines and doctors' bills have ran up at times to two and three hundred dollars, and never any better, but worse, when I give np all hope last spring of living the summer through. I received one of your account books, and told my husband after reading it that it was too late to try further, but he said it was never too late. He went and fought two bottles and I found it was helping me very much.

Since was troubled with catarrh and sore throat, aud was almost entirely deaf in one ear and my voice was as dull as could be. There was constant pain in my head. Now my head is as sound as a dollar, my voice is clear, and 1 have used ten bottles of your Discovery. It has cured me of catarrh, sore throat, heart disease, spine affection and torpid liver. My liver was very bad.

My skin was rough. When I put my hand on my body it was like fish scales. Now it is as smooth and soft as a child's. In conclusion I will say I have been well for three months. I am a wonder to myself and friends.

This is but an imjierfect statement; half has not been told. Yours with respect, Hester Lackey. SPECIAL XOTICES. ALLEGHENY COUNTY DEMOCRATIC CONVENTIONS. Tba foUowUic irufmuiu sdoptsd by th Dcm oormtlc Uoustjr CommittM as Sstardsr.

l'TTS. Another s-riouhootiug affray oirurred in our city Sunday morning between Thos. 1 l'otts, a "sub" on the city polic force, anil a reidi-nt of the South Side named The particulars of the occurrence are nubstantiiilly as follows: OUIC1N Or THE AFFRAV. About nine o'clock in the morning Geo. K.

a-conjpauiel by Ave or six companions proceeded to No. 2 Watson street, a house kept by a woman of questionable repute, uaimtl Minute Watson. The party kuocked at the door and were promptly admitted by one of the inmates. They immediately proceeded up s'airs to a room occupied by several females. It seems they had been indulging rather freely in the "Mowing bowl" during the night and weut to the house for the purpose of "having some fun," as they said.

Some conversation was had ht-twecu the men and the inmates of the house when the fomier t- ame somewhat abusive in their language and their actions, greatly frighten-tug the women. One of the frightened inmates ran down stairs and knocked at the duor of a room occupied by a woman named Nellie Moran. The rap was answered by a man named Thomas K. I'otts who had bt-en present some time talking to the occupant, who, it seems, was lying sick ujxm the 1M. One of the party, who hal ri inuined iu the hallway, also entered the room when the frightem-d women were admitted, but uton U'ing ordered out by I'otts he retired.

The meu followed the women down stairs aud rap)ed loudly at the door, but were not admitted, as the woman had informed thoe insi.le that the larty had evidently come there for the purjiose of creating a disturbance. When I they found that the iumateh would not ad mit them, the party then hurt in the dmir, and KiljMr and his roinraales entered the i "im. stat. thai when they came t'ue d'Mr was tloiiriihiug a large revolver. IS this time the latter bad grasped Kdgar's revolver, aud succeeded in wresting it from his baud, wheu it was announced that a Milireuian was coming, and I'otts was released. Oue ot the men hastily ran to the dour, but was unable to see any orli-cer, and so reHrted to his companions. When released, I'otts succeeded iu getting hold of his own revolver, au.l also recov- I Vka-L nt Wilf luu.fi thrown to the tloor during the scuttle.

The wouml on the face was uot of a very serious nature, while that ou the breast, it was thought, after a careful examination, would necessarily prove fatal. Subseiiueotly three of tue women of the housu were arrested by Lieutenant Musserand otliuer John tirady and were also conveyed to the Central Station House. The oincers then returned to the house to arrest I'otts, wheu he gave himself up. AT THE POLICE STATIOIC. While all the parties were at the police station, the Acting Mayor was sent for to tu.ke Kdzar deitosmon.

tie iiuickiy ar rived, but as I'otts acknowledged that he fired the shots it was thought unneces sarv to take the wounded man's deposit ion. The women and I'otts were then assigned cells in the lockup, and as soon as he could I got in readiness Edgar was ta-keu to the resilience of his brother in-law, Mr. Wakefield, No. 1382 Carson street. South- Side, where his mother resides.

Dr. Thomas was subsequently summoned to attend the wounded mau, aud did all in his power to afford him relief, but apparently without much effect, as the man suffered intensely from his wounds. In the afternoon, about four o'clock, a consultation was held on Edgar's case by the attending physician and Dra. Woixl and Daley, each of horn gave it aa his opiuion that he would most surely die, as be was then spit ting blood, and presented every evidence of a man iu a dying state. The result of the physicians' deliberations was made known to their paticct, ho received the announcement iu a calm and indifferent mauuer, apparently not feeling the least conceru or auxiety for the niiiii result.

In accordance with the advice of the physicians a messeng. w.is sent for Alderman Krchau, who came to his bedside and took EIMSAR'S lK.rOSlTION.
