William T. Brownscombe, former president of the Follans. bee Steel died today in McKeesport Hospital after a brief illness. 68-year-old retired executiThe, also had been assistant superintendent of the Jones Laughlin Steel Corp. Aliquippa Works.

A native of South Wales, Mr. Brownscombe, of 2933 Myer McKeesport, lived in McKeesport 30 years. After graduating from Pur. due University in 1909 he instructed mechanical engineering at Pennsylvania State University. He launched his industrial career with the American Sheet and Tinplate Co, and was later general superintendent of the former McKeesport Tinplate Co.

Active in civic work, he was a former president of the McKeesport YMCA, a member of the Boy Scout Council and an ofifcial of the Salvation Army board. He was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church, 375, the board the Youghiogheny Country Club, Rotary and the University Club. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Hattie Henning Brownscombe; a son, Robert, of McKeesport; a brother, James, of Mansfield, Ohio, and two grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.

Man Dies, 2 Hurt As Car Hits Pole North Side Crash Puzzles Police One man was killed and two passengers in his car severely injured last night when the car in which they were riding smashed into a utility pole on Brighton Road, North Side, near Union Dale Cemetery.

Donald G. Burkhart, 25, of 441 Kennedy North Side, died in Allegheny General Hospital at 5:30 this morning, three hours after his car struck the curbing, careened across the street and hit a pole. Judy Shawkey, 14, 1702 Brighton suffered a broken left leg and deep lacerations in her head and face. Michael Nigrelli, 296 N. Balph Bellevue, the other passenger, suffered a broken nose and multiple cuts and bruises.

Police were unable to give any reason for the crash. Attilio Trilli Dies; Prominent Realtor Attilio Trilli, prominent South Hills builder and realtor, died today in 1 St. Clair Memorial Hospital. He was 68. Mr.

Trilli came here as a youth from his native Italy and immediately started in the contracting business. He rose from a "water boy" on the job to a partnership in one of the most important firms in the development of the South Hills area. He formed Trilli Dunbar realtors, in 1923 with a partner, James C. Dunbar. Mr.

Trilli, who never married, lived in Overbrook at 260 Vineland St. Death came after an illness of two years. The Slater Funeral Home will announce arrangements. Rotarians to Hear State Legion Chief Mr. Mason Sherman W.

Mason, State commander of the American Legion, will address the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh at its luncheon meeting in Hotel William Penn tomorrow. Mr. Mason, 48, is a veteran of World War II, having served in the Far East with Mr. Mason Ar my 'Ord- nance. He is chairman of the State's National Defense Committee, chairman of a group studying proposed changes in the United Nations charter and is a mem ber of a 12 man Foreign Rela tons Committee of the Legion.
