Captain Leventhal, a member of the Pittsburgh Fire Department 18 ears, died early yesterday in the Montefiore Hospital of pneumonia. A lifelong resident of the Third ward, he lived at 1400 Colwell street. In 1916 he was appointed a oity fireman by the late Joseph G. Armstrong, former County Commis-Koner and at that time Mayor. Active in social and political activities of his district.

Captain Leventhal was a member of the Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association. He was unmarried. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. A. Leventhal; two brothers, Frank and Max Leventhal, and two sisters, Mrs.
