National Organizer J. A. Keeler, who Is In charge of the Pittsburg- district tn the absence of Thomas H. Fiynn, of the American Federation of Labor, received word from the scene of the strike this morning to prevent any men being deported from this city. Organizer Keeler said he was notified that efforts are being made by the Harbison-Walker company to employ men who were Ignorant of the strike and ship them to Flgart or some of the other towns In which a strike is on.

Keeler immediately took steps to prevent such action by stationing pickets at each of the local stations. AN ORDINANCE -Granting1 the Phillips Mine and Mill Supply company privilege to construct, lay down and maintain a. switch track on Mary street, from the tracks of the Pittsburg- and Whitehall railroad, from a point 76 feet west of South Twenty-third street to South Twentyr Jorth street. SectionVf-Be it ordained and enacted by the city of Pittsburgh, in Select ana Common Councils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by the authority of the same, That privilege be and is hereby granted to the Phillips Mine and Mill Supply company to construct, lay down and maintain a switch track on Mary street from the tracks of the Pittsburgh and Whitehall railroad, from a point 76 feet west of South Twenty-third street; thence eastwardly along- Mary street and crossing south Twenty-third street, to and In front of its property, to the west building line of South Twenty-fourth street, in accordance with plan hereto attached and made part of this ordinance. Section 2 In consideration of the foregoing privilege, right and license, the said Phillips Mine and Mill Supply company, its successors and assigns, shall annually pay to the city of Pittsburgh the sum of seventy-five 75.00) dollars for the turn-out, and fifty (.50) cents per each foot of siding approximating 200 feet maintained by said company, which said payment shall be made immediately after the approval by the mayor of this ordinance, and such and every year thereafter during the continuance of the privilege and licensing hereinbefore granted.

Section 8 The city of Pittsburgh hereby expressly reserves and retains the right of modifying, amending or repealing any and all rights, privileges and license hereinbefore granted upon sixty (60) days' notice thereof being given in writing by the proper officer, or by joint resolution or ordinance of councils of said city to the said Phillips Mine and Mill Supply company. Section 4--That any ordinance or part of ordinance conflicting with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this ordinance.
